June 201 ask onyx (John)

You mentioned your music interest, coo coo ca choo(not sure if title but i know the song). When driving do you listen to an oldies station,we have them here, or do you pop in a CD, or have you ever listened to the latest pop music to see what the younger crowd is listening. Sorry for the run on sentence.:(

I've just seen Bill Owens playing father to Lynn R. in Georgy Girl. Never knew that. John, are there any outside of LOSW roles you've seen him and liked?

When I drive early in the morning I always listen to the news station. Any time after that it's music in the van at work, music stations or Cd's. In my car I usually play my phone music library through the car stereo. I do like some of the more modern stuff. I love the 'Blue-eyed Soul' music of people like Adele and Amy Winehouse in particular. Amy Winehouse could also mix reggae, rhythm and blues and was just the most wonderful jazz singer. I hate it when people talk negatively about her and other troubled artists and how they are judged for throwing their lives away. I do believe that with some people, extraordinary talent and a troubled soul go hand in hand.
Sorry Brenda, I kind of went off on one there!

I've just seen snippets of him in different roles. He appeared in a few episodes of 'What ever happened to the Likely Lads' as Bob's dad I think. Its was a comedy role but very different to Summer wine, which he played very well.

Sorry John not trying to sound pedantic but he played his father in law. :D Sorry it does sound pedantic :-[:-[:-[

John :D

When you're on the beach are you a bare footed, sand between your toes kinda guy or a socks and sandals man?

Quite right Pearl!
Cue pedantic joke,

Daily Telegraph:

"Scout killed in avalanche was 'doing what he loved' ".

I hate to be pedantic, but how the hell can they possibly know he loved being killed by avalanches?

I thought 'socks on the beach' was a cocktail! No socks Pearl, just a pair of cheapo sandals bought from the lookie, lookie man ;D

I think you're spelling it wrong for the cocktail John :16:

I'm so happy to see you're not a socks and sandals man! It makes me weep when I see that. I have to wonder how the hell mankind procreated after socks were invented!

"There she goes, lowering the tone"

Ok, I guess I'll ask one.

Summer Wine related: Caution, this one's weird! LOL Would you rather hang out with Marina or Glenda?

Not Summer Wine related: Do you like coffee, tea, or water?

That was two questions, but I didn't wanna double post. LOL

OOPS, now I remember Winehouse fan. She had a beautiful voice, as does Adele!

I know what you mean about the negative talk of those who has their faults out in the open for the world to see. Those that are pointing their fingers just seem to hide theirs better! That's what I think. You can hear a preacher putting down, young people, living in sin, or drinking or drugging. Yet some are in their back room looking at porn!

Holly, you weren't around when Glenda's skirt came up! I showed up about the time the second round of Glenda's skirts came up!!!!

Let's face it Pearl. It will always be a topic the guys will talk about!:16:

I think we should get ready for round 3 ! :35:

You're right Holly, it's too weird! Seeing as I'm easily embarrassed I'd probably pick Glenda, less chance of lipstick transfer :35:
I rarely drink tea these days. I drink coffee about 6 or 7 times daily and like most people I don't drink nearly enough water.
