The episode begins with Clegg, Truly and Billy strolling down the road & finding a tractor tire. Billy decides to "ride" the tire down the hill.
Which episode is it?
Over here in the States, TV stars often earn really enormous salaries. I've always wondered if, in general terms, anyone had any idea of what sort pay range the LOTSW cast earned?
Here in Maryland on our PBS station, we've reached the "Elegy" arc once again. It always brings a tear to my eyes at the same time I find myself smiling. I think it may be the finesst send-off ever done on television.

My wonderful wife was able to order the book for me and gave it to me for Christmas. It isn't available here in the States and was a great surprise. My children knew and never let on. I'm already through chapter 4.
Merry Christmas to all. ;D
From the 1st I saw it and every time I have seen it since then, Just A Small Funeral brings tears to my eyes. Though it is incredibly sad, it is one of their finest episodes.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge of the television industry in the United Kingdom but here in the US a lot of shows have "additional life" by going into syndication. Star Trek: The Next Generation was never a network show. I think that LOTSW would be a real prize for the independent market.
