June 201 ask onyx (John)

Ok, we've had your favourite three episodes.

Which would be your three least favourite episodes?

The weren't many that I didn't like to be honest. Of the earlier ones A quiet drink was a strange episode, it's an episode that never really went anywhere, poor writing maybe. Once in a moonlight junkyard was another I didn't take to and I would pick How not to cry at weddings because the whole series went out with a whimper instead of a bang, like it should have:unhappy::unhappy:

Is there any regular character that you didn't like in the show?
I can't say that I disliked any regular character. I think that Entwistle was the least funny of all the regulars but I didn't dislike the character. Maybe he didn't have as many good lines as the rest, the constant reference to Hull and the far east wore a bit thin after a while.

I've expressed before that the Compo hating Smiler lodging with Norah situation was dragged on for too long. What was your opinion?:30:

Yes I did Dick, great programme. Alan Titchmarsh was a very good and very entertaining presenter. Tommy Walsh also was a very likable and funny member of the team and Charlie "Horticultural Viagra" Dimmock with her tumbling pre-Raphaelite curls had her endearing qualities too of course. ;D;D;D

oh, Dick and John, thank you for reminding me of Ground Force. I couldn't for the life of me remember the name . Loved those guys and did Charlie ever wear a bra? lol

No, Charlie was a 'liberated' woman. I loved Ground Force I did :32:

John :D

What's your best example of an oxymoron? And how would it effect your everyday life?

I know one portion of these answers but name me three of your top singing groups; your top 3 female singers and your top male singers.

John :D

These curveballs are getting curvier. How about 'Random order.' This might describe my everyday life pretty well. I am a creature of habit in most ways but in between the routine and order that I love there is a slightly chaotic( another oxymoron?) alter ego that surfaces every so often and makes life very interesting for a while, but then I need structure to return and allow me have a quiet life again. The organised side of me definitely stems from my troubled childhood, I learned that life was easier if I didn't make waves or raise my head above the parapet. The more feckless traits were born of the freedoms and extrovert possibilities learned courtesy of such luminaries as Arthur Guinness and John Power.
I hope that was a serious question Pearl, I took it as such:):16::32:

You have accomplished a lot in your life and done more than many. The great thing about what you went through is that it made you stronger than a lot of people. Don't forget that! ;)

Again Beth, ask me these questions in a few days and I would probably give some different answers??? In groups I would pick Thin Lizzy, Oasis and The Eagles. Female singers, Amy Winehouse, Bonnie Raitt and Alison Krauss(always). Male singers, Steve Earle,John Lee Hooker and Christy Moore.

I'm saving the round ones for last :16:

I think we all have need to have order in our lives and for the most part have a quiet life but there is little spirit that sleeps within us that wakes up now and then and you just have to let it take over and do its thing so it will sleep again and give us peace. Our spirits lead us into trouble and strife but without them life would be boring. ;D;D

You're doing great John :D

Some interesting stuff there too.
