    In The Service Of Humanity

Out of series 5 and 6 (the two best series in my opinion), this is probably the best episode. Just a great atmosphere overall.

    Saw Marina on Coronation Street!

I just saw Marina on Coronation Street (actually on my tv screen right now!!!). I know she's not playing Marina, but the voice is still the same, so All I see in whatever character she's playing is Marina. I keep on expecting Howard to pop round the corner.

did the knowledge that stunt doubles were used mar people's enjoyment of LOTSW

The only doubles I really noticed for the first time was for the end of the episode where they were trying to figure out Nora's feet size, and the easily noticeable doubles fall off the railing or whatever it was into the water. Seriously, I swear some sort of china man was in the place of...

Who did you miss the most when they werent in the show?

I miss Sid, Seriously, he really added something to the early episodes, and at least they had someone at the Cafe who would somewhat back them up and not kick them out. I'll never forget the Scene with Sid dressed up as a cowboy ;D I missed Wally a bit when watching Series 10, as I really...

    Brian Wilde

They should of just gotten rid of Truly and brung back Foggy. I have barely seen any of the Truly/Clegg/Compo years so I don't know how good he was in those, but He just never seemed the great type for LOTSW. He just doesn't have that afraid look when he's around women that I love about Foggy...

1 word that non summer wine fans think of the show?

I am a young person and very much enjoy the slow pace of the show. I enjoy the really early episode due to the even slower pace, and it feels like a full day in 30 minutes.

    LOTSW Soundtrack CD

Is anyone who has it able to rip it to FLAC or WAV? and shove it up on the web somewhere? I've also looked for this for ages. I do have the original Summer wine theme used in the 70's and 80's as an mp3 I made of a long gone youtube video years ago, It's in Stereo Too, and is from someone's...

    Greatest ever Clegg line

"How could you trust anyone that didn't like the Goons". I'm a huge Milligan/ Sellers fan so I like that line.

Best Summer Wine Couple (in terms of comic value)

I think it's just her character I don't like. Like I don't really like Pearl that much either. They never seem to exhibit "niceness" much. I like that at least Ivy and Nora are truely nice people under neath the "Strong" front they put on. I take back what I said about Series 14. I think I was...

    Alvin Smedley

I like him but keep on expecting for Mildred to come round the corner and have yell at him ;D

    replacement actor better than original

Not sure if Actor count's, but most people prefer Henry McGee on The Benny Hill Show instead of Nicolas Parson's or Jeremy Hawk.

Series 9, Episode 3; Dried Dates and Codfanglers

I enjoy most of The Seymour episodes, although I admit the start of Series 9 got off to a slow start, with the first few episodes being quite weak. Which episode was it that they were in the cafe (It was a Seymour episode) where Compo says to Clegg "Remind me to keep me differentials"? I...

Best Summer Wine Couple (in terms of comic value)

I'm nowhere near sick of the series, as I look foward to putting on the dvd and watching an episode each night. I have just never really liked Thora Hird's character, I could be wrong, but she doesn't really seem like a nice person, in character or in real life. The foggy war stories are...

    Reflections on Series 6

I enjoy series 6 overall, probably the most consistent series out of them all! Just a perfect feel. Also The first series to change the view of the Cafe, and in the last few episodes, Nora is seen painting it white.

    Warmest early series episode?

Well the middle is quite sunny, but if you look at the start with them waiting outside compo's, it's pouring down.

which actor do you wished had done a guest appearance in lotsw

Definitaley Benny Hill. He is a master at playing so many different roles, as seen on his television show, which ran for 40 years I might add (not a weekly series, but a series of television specials every few months). Reg Varney, maybe, as I love him in On The Buses, but I also love Stephen...

    Smiler

I much prefer Stephen Lewis as Blakey in On The Buses.

Best Summer Wine Couple (in terms of comic value)

Sid and Ivy were the best couple, as they seemed to at least love each other. I'm not big on the constant Howard/Marina/Pearl story lines, and I think the should could've gone without thora hird too, there just doesn't seem to be any lovable bit of her. The only bit where her character seemed...

    Warmest early series episode?

What episode from the early years do you think looks the warmest, as many of them are dark, and rainy and wet on the outdoor scenes. I vote for the Golf Episode from series 3, apart from the really bad film quality, it looks really warm and sunny on the outdoor scenes, alot like the episodes...

    Series 14 looks terrible

I mean all the real series. I'm watching actual proper series 14 (1992, with auntie wainright back, and the episode where they get smiler to make horse noises for compo)
