Time Flies By

I can always recall my dad saying to me that when you get older time just flies by,as a lad when days just seem to last forever I could not imagine this could be the case,but it is,the other situation I find when you come to retirement that weekends/bank holidays are no longer important and that you tend to avoid going anywhere during the bank holidays due to increased cost and travel disruption,I know when you are working the weekend and bank holidays are very important as it means an extra day or two to rest or do other things

I have been retired now for 2 years and I am treating it as one long holiday. I worked non stop for 50 years and I think it is time to do the things that I want to do when I want to do them. So far (until I broke my leg 5 weeks ago) it seems to be working well and together with her indoors we are slowly doing things. We are not bored yet I love being outdoors walking, gardening and playing golf. Love it. We tend to stay local on Bank Holidays as well.
