The Siren in Dad's Army??

Ever since the first time I was in the Blitz Room
at the Coventry museum, I have been deeply affected
by the drums and siren at the very end of each Dad's
Army episode. It shakes me to the core. Every time.

Your reaction???

It sure grabs your attention when the sirens go off, where I live in the flatlands of Lincolnshire is a large power station, and for some safety reasons they turn on a siren every few weeks, it goes for 5-10 minutes and a stark reminder of what must of been a terrifying part of the war years

I feel the same about a siren that goes off here often on Saturday mornings for safety reasons, just checking I think, I don´t know where it is and what it´s about, could be the same like the one Terry mentioned. My father told me recently that until a few years ago the thing we could hear was actually the same one the used during the war when an air raid came. I feel like you, it´s hair-raising.
