text message reminders

Just got back from my dentist. I foolishly gave them my mobile number( used only for emergencies, drs etc) On making my next appointment I was given a small card with it written on (tomorrow actually for an extraction, I broke the darn thing at Xmas on a " soft" centre) I was not even out of the dentists gate when I got my text reminder!Crackers or what!! :

i got one yesterday, went and made appointment today for me and the family and the next available time was 29th march!!
