SINKHOLES

Seen on the news, a sinkhole has half swallowed a house in Yorkshire. Has anyone got sinkholes near them ???

Yes, we had one. We had 15 acres. Sold of some of it. Found it quite by accident. Before we purchased a tractor, be paid someone to bush hog the property. He informed us he almost drove into it. It was about 8 ft deep and about 12 ft wide. We filled it ourselves by dumping large rocks first then filling the rest with smaller rock and gravel. It has held up for about 13 years. Did you hear the one that swallowed some of the collection of Corvettes in the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green ,Ky? They had it on surveillance tape

I had only heard of the one that swallowed the Corvettes too. A lady I know had visited the museum that morning - pretty scary.

They are doing fracking now here in the US. Are they just starting that there in the UK?

They've done few test sites, people are not happy about it.
