I'm 70 plus and tonight, for the first time in my life I experienced the delight of poached trout.
I poached the fillets on a bed of sliced lemon and leek with a little water in a skillet. It was accompanied by some fresh crunchy salad and freshly steamed new potatoes.
It was phenomenal! The thing that surprised me the most was that that meal was achieved for LESS than five pounds (£5.00).

Meal fit for a king on a budget :D
