Robots?

I noticed thhere is a count of people currently on the site from the homepage. The list includes members, guests, and ........ robots? Is this a joke or is this really the online viruses, etc that try to steal identities and do other harm? If neither, what is it?

If you press the heading at the top of the page marked members it produces a drop down marked current visitors . Among the current visitors are members ,guests and yes robots . It even tells you the names of the robots(google, baidu et al)they are mostly checking on sites visited and usage. The tech people see them as benign so far .They will warn us (hopefully) if there are any rogues. In the meantime Cod keep your anti-virus up to date .I am not tech minded so I am having to trust to their judgement and my anti-virus.

Honestly, I think it is just search engines. Someone types in 'what is a good summer wine' or something and our site gets pinged.

Enjoy it !!! They are in it Rick , they are the lead trio in the remake to be made in 2100 [ Scutters is the scruffy Compo character] , all these robots are gathering information from the site to include the best bits in the scripts.
