I recall someone is into Ian Rankin's Rebus books. Just learnt there is another on the way - early November, "Saints of the Shadow Bible".

And a new Peter Robinson, DCI Banks, "Children of the Revolution" early August.

"And a new Peter Robinson, DCI Banks"

I really prefer the earlier DCI Banks books like
Gallows View. Much less dependent on sexual
arousal and all. Thought he cheapened himself
to sell a few more books.

Thank you Big Unc that'll be me. That's great to hear - shall look forward to that ;)

And for those of you who have heard of another Scottish writer with an Edinburgh police setting, Quintin Jardine has a new book out early June, "Pray for the Dying" (Skinner 23).

I note that the Amazon synopsis refers to the Edinburgh Chief Constable (Skinner) and Strathclyde Police now no more when we have the single force, Police Scotland. I am wondering if the new Rebus book will reflect that.

And, moving to Glasgow, there is a new Alex Gray book just out, "The Swedish Girl": 10 (DCI Lorimer)

Apropos of not much .......A clue in the crossword today "" Puzzle for a Scottish detective?? answer was ... Rebus"" ;)
