A big "hello !!!!" to one,and all ........
Now,iv'e been thinking [dangerous,i know !!!].......
Having just had a general election [boo !!!!!!],and with the world in turmoil,we all should be looking to our political leaders for inspiration [chance would be a fine thing !!!!!].
So, i thought to myself.......which political partys would "our heroes" support ??????
The first 2 are easy.......foggy would be a dyed in the wool tory [know your place etc...],just remember him when he thought he was related to the dewhurst's of ogelvy hall !!!.
Compo,being a simple man of the people would definately be a labour supporter.....and cleggy.....well i feel he would be a "middle of the road" liberal [after all,he hates offending anyone !!!!!!!]
glenda and barry are upwardly moblie,and i think would vote tory,as would ivy,with her being a "small business " owner,as would our favourite miser....auntie .
Truley,being ex scotland yard would be a true blue tory,as would our ex headmaster,seymour [who had serious delusions of grandour !!!]
i also think our "fantastic four" of billy,alvin,tom and entwhistle would all vote labour [especially entwhistle,because we all know hull is a labour stronghold]
i look forward to my fellow members thoughts...........

I just thought it might blow a few cobwebs off a few people ,and they can have a bit of "political fun".....because there are 2 words that seldom go together !!!!!!
I know politics affects each and everyone of us [for better or worse !!!],but i thought this would give us all a bit of light relief from the day to day life......in the 21st century world !!!

We tend not to talk about politics, football, Coke Vs Pepsi or Pearl being a great wife it's just Howard being an idiot. We find the only political debate safe to speak about is whether Donald Trump has a stylist with an axe to grind/ sense of humor or he's wearing syrup.

Now don't let have to come back here wearing my moderators hat :46::46::46::46: I have the buttons, don't make me use them! Terry will tell you, if have to press buttons things tend to blow up!

I am not asking our members political persuasions !!!!!!
I am having a bit of fun asking about the political persuasions of characters in a situation comedy !!!!!!!!
Why are people saying"we don't talk about politics ??????"
these are not "real people !!!!".
To be honest,i sometimes wonder why i take the time and effort to try and make my posts a little "left of centre"???????
In future,i will just talk about what camera is off ?????
This argument is not about "real life"..........it is "pretend" !!!!!!!!!
I'm all for "gentle debates",but this is just stupid !!!!!!

People see " Political" whether in jest or not and just don't see the funny side. We're such a diverse community on here we have people from all walks of life political, religious and economic backgrounds and it always leads to strife when curtain subjects arise. We've seen it all on here.

Pearl......it's just a bit of harmless fun....debating the politcal persuasions of made up,i repeat made up characters.
I am not trying to frighten people.....why would people "back away" ???????
I will reiterate......it is not real.......it is make believe !!!!!
I does not matter what "background" our members come from,or what politics float their boat,i don't care about either.
It is just a silly post,for my fellow members to have a bit of fun with !!
I don't know why i bother ???????
Even "28 steps" posts wonderful pictures,takes time and effort,and may get 4 or 5 "likes",or "thanks" ???
I am trying to get more people to post,by making my articles a little "surreal" [please check my previous posts]
these type of posts are the only ones i feel that i can produce.
If,as it seems,they offend any of my fellow members,firstly,i apologise,and secondly,i will cease posting.

I tend to agree with Pearl. I have never seen a political forum or Facebook post that started off as a bit of fun that didn't 'go south' very quickly. There are an infinite number of topics that can be debated with fun outside of politics and religion so why go there.

I "luv ya" Keith and encourage you to keep "left of centre". However, not every single thread is going to be a hit. Sometimes we just have to take a loss and move on. I had my share of threads that never gained momentum.

This is not a competition for "the king of left of centre".
Nor do i need to "take a loss ??????????" [maybe that is an american term,because it means nothing to me,here in liverpool.....england !!!!]
i do not post for my own gratification.
I post to try to amuse my fellow members [although i realise i am not a comedian....i am a docker !!!!!!]

When i said "left of centre",i meant "comedywise".......not politically "left of centre" !!!!!!!!

Just seemed the best place to put this!

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.
While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.
As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.
The dung was actually thawing him out!
He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.
Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.
Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
(3) And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

Apart from anything else, I just got inadvertently hit by Windows 10 update and am trying things out.

Yes, I agree. The most political statement I can come up with is, how in the world does Donald Trump do his hair?
