Hi,

Currently watching through our Last of the Summerwine compilation DVDs this episode was the one before whos that bloke with Nora Batty then and I’ve just said to John how uncanny is it the price of diesel then to now it definitely says 185.5 Johns having none of it keeps saying no that’s got to be wrong! Then Johns just said that’s for a gallon - you can tell who’s not a driver 8DEAE832-150A-4057-8B2F-A02C95B14A3E.jpeg

I'd say the 164 is for diesel.
The 185 says 4star
But I'm stuck with the 40.8 unless that's for paraffin or lpg?
We would be metric by that date so it's a bit confusing. Anyone know the location?

I think the 40.8 is per ltr so £1.85 a gallon

Correct, there are roughly 4.54 litres in a (UK) gallon. I suspect this was filmed around the period where we were transitioning from imperial to metric display measures when many fuel stations displayed both.
