Every week my youngest grandson and I are watching what he calls Momar movies! Old c*** and funny! I'm trying not to take personally. So far we've watched, the original Village of the Danmed, the original War of the World's and the original Day of the Triffids, next week we're watching the original The Fog and I have Quatermass and the Pit coming tomorrow but that's the genre we're looking for can anyone think of more of these? The more death and destruction the better, we're either easing a brilliant forestic, behaviour expert or a phycopath.

Witchfinder General if often offered up as a classic but was deemed very controversial Mark Kermode from BBC reviews it on You Tube which you may wish to view first before watching it.

I'll look for that thank you, it sounds like something I'll need to watch before we show him. My daughters main concern is nudity, he knows all the swear words, not that he's allowed to say them.

I recognize the names of a few of those movies. Sounds like some of them could be on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" or "MST3K " as it is affectionately known as.

Not sure how well a few movies I can think of at the moment would rate with you both. I really liked them when I saw them as an early teen growing up - still like them today.

"Death Race 2000" - with David Carradine and Sylvester Stallone. A cross country car race where the goal is to (humorously) score points by running over pedestrians. He would probably like the cars and the theme of the movie. There is a little bit of nudity if I recall.

"Rollerball" Is about a violent sport which is a combination of roller derby and roller skating. He would probably like the game and action scenes. If I remember it felt a little long in some places at a 2 hour run time when they focused more on story telling. Not sure of his attention span for long-ish movies. Can't recall about any nudity but it is a 70's flick.

Rick that's great research thank you.1, he'd like the running over people way more than the cars but his mother's one rule, no nudity.
2, The Italian Job is up there in my top five films but again a smidgen of nudity. ( you were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off) is my top movie quote of all time.
3, That one is on the list, I love that film.
4, Good idea, I'll look into that, we had a series called Tails of the Unexpected which was brilliant so I'll look into that too.
5, I haven't seen that but I'll look fir it.

Tails of the Unexpected as you mentioned is another great show. I see that Leonard Nimoy is in the first episode from them. For some reason I feel that there is a series similar, if not the same, that he did an intro or some narration for the show episodes.

Found it, "In Search of..." The show investigates mysterious phenomena, UFO's, Bigfoot, lost civilizations.

If I think of anything else I will chime in. Was a 'B' film junky for the longest time, but unfortunately not sought them out for quite a while. I enjoy thrillers but not much of a fan of horror films.

Both are really well done and have intricate plot lines. Not suggesting them for your grandson. The logistics behind the scenes of the plot line of The Game amazes me.

One of my favourites ever which never gets a mention is the Tailor of Panama . In January they showed some of the Ealing Classics on the BEEB and the wonderful Whiskey Galore[not the remake] which I would watch at any time alongside the Quiet Man.
