Today we have lost another favourite, Nicholas Parsons. He was one of the best after dinner speakers. He always looked so happy and cheerful. RIP.
 
Another sad loss . He was probably joint Mr Quiz with Bob Monkhouse because if Bob wasn't hosting the show Nicholas was . Just a Minute was a great show especially the years with Kenneth Williams and now Paul Merton . Mr W didn't take kindly to the interruptions and certainly not to being corrected by Nicholas which made the show even more avid listening . Remember him as a feed/stooge for the great Arthur Haynes in the 60's but it's always Sale of the Century and Just a Minute that will evoke the greatest memories of him . A sad loss .
