At the start truly and Billy are walking away from a pub i can't make out the name of it and there's a little humpback Bridge next to it

Anyone care to tell me where that is please?

I think its in Slaithwaite and the building in the background I think is the Funeral home where Compo was laid to rest couple of pubs around there Shoulder of Mutton and the Little Bridge .

Thank you very much

In the same episode Howard and Pearl are talking next to Red railings next to a canal. Looks like a tow path.. it's the same place beware laughing at noras hats when Alvin is trying to get nora into his sidecar.. any idea where that is

Also the mysterious squeak of Howard's bicycle the three of them get thrown out a pub when truly says he can get people angry and then calm them down again.. any idea Which pub?

Weir Side, Marsden

No, it could be one of many fake pubs they used, a private house dressed up like a pub

Predominantly Red railings in location shots are Marsden , fewer shots with Black railings are Slaithwaite . Streetview on Google Maps is really useful once you find the locations on Terry's [Maltrab's] brilliant map for which he has posted the link here but can also be viewed by selecting the item from the top menu on this site where it is listed as Summer wine map. By the way Welcome to the site Jay hope you enjoy it.

Its on the map and clearly the location director sends out people to scout for locations who then when they find somewhere knock on doors to ask if they are willing to allow filming to take place [ just posted picture of the Bouquet Residence from Keeping up Appearances same thing just a private House often used to film exterior shots and then internal are filmed in the studio ] . They will get paid but then when people find out where they filmed people turn up and take photos . They filmed a series called A House through time in Newcastle and the people who have the house are selling up because there are visitors standing outside taking photos day and night .

Many thanks once again

From Green Abbey Hade Edge [Barry and Glenda's] to Edie and Wesleys at Spring Lane Holmbridge is 3.4 miles away by car so Barry and Glenda just can't pop in for a visit by walking there however Barry is still within earshot of Edie's dulcet tones and Glenda is not far enough away not to be told " Drink ya Coffee" by her Mum if she steps out of line by getting "a bit familiar" with Barry .

Kathy Staff really was superbly funny when she did her angry voice 'don't you mention that name here ' (Audrey Craig) always makes me smile

They should put a collecting tin out front with a sign saying 5 Euro's and you can take all the pictures you like. :21:
