Saddened to see another favorite actress of mine has passed at 87. Loved watching the show M*A*S*H while growing up. At one point it was on 3 times in the evenings on different channels. My Dad used to call us all around the TV to watch the show. Was great family time - we laughed, we cried. Got to take a break from homework or studying to watch.

R.I.P. - 'Hot Lips' you brought much joy and laughter to a lot of people through an iconic and classic TV show. You will be missed.

Loved MASH like most others did.... although it was replayed to death here in Aussie which was not so bad, but they replayed the same 30 odd episodes out of 250 odd

I have my parents complete DVD's of the show, would like to do a re-watch of the series sometime. Not really seen them much, or in order, since they were originally shown over-the-air back in the 70's & 80's.
 
She also has a fine turn in the film version of Whoops Apocalypse as the President of America - whilst far from a gentle comedy both this and it's tv series are full of recognisable comedy stars and and well worth an occasionally unsettling watch.
