They were , John Barrard is the actor . When you view him on IMDB boy has he had a large number of roles.

Nice catch! It surprises me how often they used the same actor for different roles over the years. As I'm not familiar with most of the cameo/small role folks I tend to look them up. Sometimes its surprising and sometimes you find out sad stuff.
