Keep Cool

I wish the shops would come inline with the bin men, our bins are being emptied at 6am throughout the heatwave but the shops aren't opening early, I'm sure the works would much rather start early and finish early. Had to sit in the carpark at Morrison's until 7am.
God I'm old! I'll be shouting " get off me grass " soon.

Stay away from my territory! The New York State Department of Health issued a warning this morning about extreme heat. I've stayed inside with the air handler fans running continuously and with the A/C set at 77 F. Probably used all of the electricity generated by my solar panels, and hoping that the grid stays operational since I have yet to invest in back-up batteries. Thank goodness for the air-source heat pump that I installed a few years ago when the gas furnace failed. It handles cooling as well as heating for a much lower cost than fossil fuel.

As they claim it could be in the mid 30's C today in parts of the UK, enjoy this cooling picture taken in Hade Edge this winter

This is so really weird, so mind blowing, over here across the Pond, we deal in Fahrenheits and when I see the temperature in Celsius, even t know that 30 is really hot, my lame brain looks at 30 and says, really cold. Yes, so when you are really hot, just image that in some parts of the world, 30 means really cold.

I've seen lots of posts, mainly Americans saying we're a load of wimps because 30 isn't that hot, my response is, turn your ac off for and sit in a brick house that's designed to keep heat in.

How is everyone doing? @onyx(John) I've seen videos of Irish men saying heatwave? What heatwave?
If you tell me its cooler over there I'm getting the boat out and I've got photo id now so they can't stop me.
20° this morning. It got up to about 23 yesterday and it rained. More rain forecast today, so come over with your mop and do your Singing in the Rain routine.
