Is the BBC still Value for Money

I certainly wonder,take today's offering on BBC1 & BBC2 from 6am until Midnight

BBC1. 7 hours of repeats and almost 8 hours of News/Current affairs,so almost 15 hours from 18 and what is left at prime time,a 90 minute food program

BBC2. 14 Hours of repeats and 40 minutes of news, so again almost 15 hours from 18

BBC3 & 4 just seem to repeat the repeats they have repeated,this must make them repeater stations
 
I wish there were more sitcoms on BBC1. There are very few left now. I know a lot of sitcoms are made for 2,3 and 4 but they don't usually appeal to me. They're not my kind of comedy. :(
