How Many Viewings Does It Take?!!

I recently viewed "The Funny Side of Christmas" for the umpteenth time. Clegg is describing the dinner menu, which includes bread and a nice bit of cheese. Compo objected vociferously to bread and cheese for Christmas dinner, and Clegg replied, "It's Wensleydale" in a coaxing tone of voice. It was the first time I'd noticed that two-word line!

Now I want a nice bit of Wensleydale cheese for lunch. Happy to eat it with a fork - no bread required.

I do like Compo's response on not caring if it was Thursday-dale.

Compo bringing by the three 'shy orphans' as well was hilarious. Shame they didn't stay for dinner. Could have made a very interesting episode and I don't mean in any way that could not be shown on TV. More in the banter between the guys and ladies. Especially how off guard that Clegg and Foggy were with the situation. This is one of my favorite episodes.

Compo seemed to have a knack at meeting the ladies. These three, picking up four ladies at the disco attempting to cheer up Gordon. Reggie's friendship via his ferrets. A bit more of a lad than I originally thought since he seems to focus most of his energy on Norah.
