Football Fumble

Why oh why does my really local TV station choose to broadcast the Sunday (American) football game in Spanish? I first want to say that I have the utmost respect for the Spanish language; but why football? And of course all of the adverts are in English.

I watch a lot of NFL but suffer the rather strange Football Night in America show between games , its simply bizarre seems to be endless presenters who chip in from various locations and sometimes the content simply baffles me i'd be fine if they spoke Spanish
