He was absolutely hilarious in his many scenes with Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films

On the strength of that role and the love of the films there was a horse called Not now Cato and my friends and I used to regularly back it when we noticed it was running . I have to say it did win a few races but also lost a lot but I think we were just ahead monetarily . I have to say I never saw it rapidly jump from the stalls when the gate opened
