It seems that the film has received pretty positive reviews so far. While I am sure it is not exactly earth shattering, I look forward to watching it at some point.
Wow. There are some words here that I never expected to see on this message board. :)
It's interesting that berk is seen as being not too insulting considering the origin of that word! And I find it amusing that the word w***er appears in an episode of The Simpsons as the American makers didn't...
It has actually been repeated on ITV3 fairly recently I think (not that I`m saying that makes it a good show).
I always think that when people say, 'TV was better in the good old days' they forget that shows like this ran for a decade or so...
The way that these channels work is that they buy the rights to specific series of a show for a certain amount of time. So the fact that Gold is part of BBC Worldwide doesn`t really affect things. This is also why, at times, Yesterday and Gold have had the rights to different series of Summer Wine.
This is an interesting story.
Like another poster said, I have a little difficulty in believing that Windsor Davies wouldn`t have been happy to have signed up though. Some of the other roles he took on at the time were not exactly illustrious after all.
I think it would be fascinating to know...
More new additions to the sit including Richard Lumsden talking about playing Foggy:

I enjoyed the love triangle at first as well but agree that it did feel like, "Oh, not this again" towards the end.
I`ve said it before but I think it would have been better if some of the supporting characters had only been used in some episodes rather than crowbarring them into every edition.
I noticed that there are a few new shorter additions that have appeared on this site including a message from Roy Clarke.

I think the way these channels work is that they pay to get the rights to specific series of a show for a certain amount of time. So even though they were originally shown on the BBC, that doesn`t mean that they can show any episode (though that doesn`t mean that they shouldn`t be more organized...
You`re welcome.
The full concert is here with Ronnie coming on at about 27.45 (for Germany) and 40.35 (for the U.K.):

My favourite years are probably Foggy`s second era simply because these are the ones that I watched when I was a child. They will always hold a special place in my heart simply because of that but, watching them with adult eyes, I can now see that the show was maybe just beginning to decline in...
That Eurovision appearance can be seen here:

He certainly was a hugely talented musician and when I watched Why Does Norman Clegg Buy Ladies' Elastic Stockings? the other day, I was struck again by how cleverly he could twist the theme tune to make...
From reading the books, it seems that Peter Sallis was a bit of a loner at times and didn`t socialize too much with the rest of the cast. The one exception being when Michael Aldridge joined the show as he apparently managed to get them all to go out together as a group.
Yes, that`s true. Ironically the only time I can think of him agreeing to discuss The Likely Lads in recent years was in the tribute to Bill Owen following his death.
I do remember an interview with James Bolam where the interviewer made the very stupid mistake of saying, "So I guess most...
