I'm Back (with Series 9 comments)

I loved Seymour from the word go. He was so different to Foggy who was not particularly nice I found.

    Ernest Borgnine

Sorry to hear of death of another great old actor. I loved him in Marty, a film which I can watch over and over.

    bill owen statue?

My Dad would have said, 'Laugh, I nearly bought my own beer', which would have been a good saying for Compo!

Its July 7th and the christmas specials are on Gold.

I do love Christmas, always have. I don't ever go over the top spending, this is why I start so early and collect over the year. I always hoped that Sherbert came down to Aldershot, married a local girl and is living up the road from me. I like a happy ending

    Compo's benefits

If we go back to First of the Summer Wine he was employed by the Co-Op for a while. He would have paid an insurance stamp for a time, and he did also serve in the army so he would be entitiled to some benefits I suppose.

    Wesley was a kind Soul

To Wesley, a car which ran perfectly would have been no fun at all.

which actor do you wished had done a guest appearance in lotsw

I would have liked to see Henry Winkler as The Fonz. He did pantomime for quite a few years and enjoyed it so he would have fitted in just fine in one of the 'Ladies Entertainments'.

    R.I.P. Eric Sykes

I read recently that he part wrote 'Educating Archie' which I listened to as a girl with my head pressed up against the radio/wireless if the batteries were flat. Watching my grandsons with their ears pressed up against their I-pods, things seem to have gone full circle.
