    Is Auntie Selling on E-Bay

On a similar note...I saw an article just last week about some store that's trying to charge people for LOOKING! For real! I thought Auntie Wainwright would be proud! ;D

    LOTSW Fans....

I've been a fan of different shows, of artists and so on. I've been able to join in with groups and share with others who have my interests, and you get to know a fan base from its inside pretty well. Of all of them I must say, honestly and truthfully, "Last of The Summer Wine" has surely the...

Foggy's first run or second - which was best?

I like both for different reasons, but the first if I must choose. I think the writing was at it's strongest those years and there are so many of my favorite episodes and Foggy moments at that time.

    New Doctor

Have to say, he was always my fantasy Doctor! I have a soft spot for Bill Nighy, although they seem to go with men under a certain age now. I like it better when they had older actors in the role, or at least, wonderful veteran character actors. Or what about a lady Doctor?

    Frank Thornton RIP

Just saw this in the news. :(It's wonderful he was around for so long, giving us many laughs and much joy. Between "Are You Being Served?" And LOTSW, he's left a legacy of true comic gold. Will miss you very much, dear Mr. Frank "Peacock" "Truly" Thornton... and no, I'm not lying. :'(

    Famous

I've never met anyone like that, but it's odd because between my mother and her mother, they've met or spent time with Clint Eastwood, Janet Leigh and Darrin McGavin. On the Eastwood thing...my mother danced with him at a party. My grandmother went to school with the other two. Don't know...

When you are losing an animal...

Many people have had animals in their lives, dogs, cats, fish, ferrets and so on, and they mean a lot. They are family and what happens in their lives affect everything. So what have you done when you feel it's getting time to let them go on, because their life in this world is coming to a close...

    Things that are Overrated

See, this is a discussion that could live a long, long life. ::) For me: Smart phones "Downton Abby" organic food Facebook (or most so-called "social networking sites") French lifestyle (nothing against them, just the way many people gush about it.) and that's what comes to me quickly.

    Cleggy singing.

It's a bit funny to think of him in musicals, but very true, ("Baker Street," Cabaret," and "She Loves Me" are the ones I know of,) and in my opinion, he did the best he could in them given his limited range.

    Wesley's music?

Good points all. I thought about that, the copyright thing, although they did manage do use some incredibly well known pieces and "Summer Wine'd" them, like a hint of "Dallas" and bits of Leroy Anderson, if I remember rightly. Of course, the legal world of music has always seemed a bit nutty to...

    Wesley's music?

I was looking at a Aldridge era episode the other day, and Wesely drives up and it got me thinking: That MUSIC, the sort he blasts from his radio - was it made for the show, or possibly have been actual music they got somewhere else? Anyone know? It's odd and terribly funny of course, because...

    Where are u all from

I feel as though I am on the other side of the galaxy! I'm on the west coast of the States. My feet are here, though my heart lives in England I believe. ::)

    Another Summer Wine comic...

Very cute! Besides great comics, you could have written for the show, Clay! ;) Least, you certainly have the heart of it down beautifully!

    Still funny...

I guess for me it was the shifts in cast. For so long it stayed basically the same and then into the 2000's people started to either leave, or die. It effected the way the episodes felt to me, because the characters and this sense of a tight group of people were what made it so lovely. In just...

    Trevor Bannister Dies aged 76

I am kind of in shock! I adored him on "Are You Being Served?" He was just magic, epsecially with John Inman and Mollie Sugden. It's wonderful at least Frank Thornton and Nicolas Smith are still around. Bannister...he was something speicial. Made me laugh since I was too young to know what...
