    Drama ?

MeTV is what we watch while eating dinner on the weekends. "The Rifleman", "Adam 12", "Dragnet", and "That Girl" of some of my favorites. I do have problems with the hour long dramas that I used to love. "The Mod Squad" consists of mostly bad acting and "The Streets of San Francisco" is pretty...

I knew I was spelling their name wrong. Howard was a Sibshaw? I've never heard that name before. Mind you, I don't watch the show as often as everyone seems to do. I will go months without putting in a dvd. Maybe I'm not as big of a fan as I thought. Thanks for all you info, Chuck.

    Children

Personally, I think children would have had a negative effect on the show. Bob Newhart did two tv series without children on purpose. The last one he did had an adult daughter and it flopped. No children and ferrets as the only pets made it what it was - wonderful. Nancy

    Drama ?

God bless your daughter's teacher! I watched "Continental Divide", with John Belushi and Blair Brown. It was rated PG, not PG 13, but PG. I couldn't believe the language used. My son is 23 and I still tell to be careful what he watches on tv. He watches what he wants, but hopefully he hears...

    Drama ?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if LOTSW was as dramatic as shows got? No blood, violence, sex, foul language, etc. They try to get away with as much as possible these days. Nancy

Thank you both for the welcome. It is nice to be able to talk about the show. Not sure how long we will be able to talk now that it has ended. I guess new members will ask new questions and make new comments to keep it going. Speaking of questions. Was Mr. Wainright, the librarian, any...

Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views

Re: Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views You have maps? Man, this is a totally awesome forum. I will definitely check them out. I have seen the episodes that featured Clegg's and Howard's first homes. I liked the interior of Clegg's first home and the exterior of the second. I must...

Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views

Re: Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views I did not know that. I thought it was all filmed in Holmfirth. Could someone please say my name a few times in Marsden and Holmfirth? In front of Clegg's house and Seymour's. That is the only way I will get there. Nancy

Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views

Re: Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views I'm envious! My surroundings consist of desert, big box stores, and casinos (in the distance). Nancy

Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views

Re: Some of My Early Marsden & Holmfirth Views Since I'm new here I don't know about Marsden. Were some or part of the episodes filmed there? It is beautiful. I would like my ashes scattered in Holmfirth or on that lovely stone bridge in the country.

    A touch of Pathos

Who was Jillian? I've drawn a complete blank.

    See ya Compo

I've only seen this episode once and really don't think I could handle it again. So incredibly sad. I've never seen his funeral and probably won't. One of the last dvds I received for my birthday was from 1998 and that is as far as I will go. Some have said that there are really good episodes...

Thank you to all of you for the very nice welcome. It is nice to be a part of this group. Chuck is right, I would prefer to talk about SW than personal chit chat. If I am the 300th member, do I get a gold star? Right now I am watching some of the episodes with Seymour. Foggy was my favorite...

Hello To All! I joined this morning after someone recommended this forum. My name is Nancy and I have been a fan since about 1998. My sister introduced me to the show and I was instantly hooked. Clegg is my very favorite and Seymour is my favorite third man. "Deviations With Davenport", "The...
