Yes now we’re really getting somewhere
The salad strainer and the captain zero cannons are definitely in the running
But please tell me which episode has the Seymour design ejection seat
Thanks rick
Thanks barrychuckle for your kind flattery
I’m not really that good at it
I just make solid body chunky toys that work well
The sub was one of the first things I thought of
Nobody around here watches LOTSW except me
The kids around here certainly don’t watch it
Only big fans of the show would...
Thank you kind sir
That does seem to make a lot of sense, that Yorkshire is filled with rabbit holes and branches which trip you
Man I wish I could go tramping over there and see for myself
Cheers
So I’ve been making wooden toys for kids out of recycled hardwood for about six years now
You can see some pictures https://photos.app.goo.gl/uwKGgqTt8akvJQGN6
Mostly I make toys that float, fly, or shoot
I sell them at fairs and festivals on weekends
But ANYWAY, it would be lovely to make a...
Thanks graham
I checked out your Beattie webcam
It was very interesting and much like I thought it would be
Thanks Eithne
Well sure, everyone thinks falling down is funny, quite rightfully, but I just still think that the manner in which the Yorkshire trio falls down is particularly vivid and...
It’s true… you need a lot of space to bake
The sheet trays are 2 X 3 feet and to bake buns you need to proof them in a warming oven and then bake them in a 500 degree oven
I don’t see how Ivy could have found room for a whole Sheet tray
Maybe there’s a nice basement set up for baking
Or...
Anyone out there know which episode had Compo finding Foggy’s old ring? And then Foggy goes chasing Compo and Clegg all over Yorkshire before Compo can cast the ring into the fiery cracks of Mount Batty?
Wow
You folks really know your stuff
And I thought Wally batty had a Doberman pinscher
Now you mention it I do recall him calling the dog a whippet but he sure looked like a Doberman
Also there’s fifi, the candy-eating miniature French poodle at the beginning of odd dog men
Thanks for playing...
To RickAns - thanks very kindly for your welcomes! And your quite right about frank Thornton! I’ve been a big fan of his since he downed a full cup of horse sweat in “a funny thing happened on the way to the forum.” Its a pleasure to meet a fellow malamute owner as well! Cheers!
To...
I’m not sure if this quiz question has been posted before, namely because I’m not about to search over one hundred pages of topics for this forum section
My you folks have been busy
But anyway forgive me if this one has been done before:
CAN YOU NAME A SPECIFIC DOG BREED
Seen in any...
Have to relate my perception of Manchester
Here in America, Manchester is seen as an outlier to the general rule of British class and good manners.
From what I’ve been led to believe, all across the green and pleasant shores of England, an honest bloke can expect a jolly welcome.
Except in...
Hello
Thanks for creating a forum about my favorite show!
I’ve always been a bit of an Anglophile
I adore everything about English culture (except the food of course) and absolutely swear by British television, comedy, and classic rock music.
Having been blessed with the same economic...
Gar! Welcome and what’s old crusher up to lately?
He was very big on kayaks, white water, and smoking extremely large joints the last we saw of him!
Tell the bloke we all say “Oh, Arr”
And welcome welcome to you
Hello and welcome to you!
Growing old gracefully?
You call that gracefully?
Dear old Compo must’ve fallen down at least a hundred times in this show
I hope I can age just a bit more gracefully than that!
But welcome welcome to you
