    Funniest Senior Moment Ever

I saw the new Clangers for the first time yesterday. It is scary how none of the actors has aged at all in all these years.

    Funniest Senior Moment Ever

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four males in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, “I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!”. The...

Have been meaning to reply to this for a while. Apologies to all for being such an anorak. I think that my point was misinterpreted. Note the status of 30120: Owned by the National Railway Museum and on loan from custodians the Bodmin Railway we are delighted to announce that 30120 will be...

    Yorkshire Worms

Posted by a friend on Facebook: Have any Norfolk friends got a compost heap with lots of worms? I would like to get enough from you to establish a breeding and composting population in our compost bins. I promise to give them a loving home. In Abingdon healthy populations just seemed to appear...

    Policemen

Caught part of 'The Most Powerful Eyes in West Yorkshire' yesterday. Noted that it included two policemen and not our usual pair. Both wore helmets which was unusual. Only one seemed to get listed in the cast list, a Brian Baines. A bit of research then showed up two different from normal...

    For Lovers of Steam Engines

I have checked my records and note that I saw 30120 in her working days back in the 1950s. It was probably in the Portsmouth area where I was at school as she was an Eastleigh engine for most of her British Railways days. Makes her 72A (Exmouth Junction) shed code somewhat non-authentic. 71A...

    For Lovers of Steam Engines

For the purist, I think that the second locomotive is Battle of Britain (un-rebuilt), as opposed to West Country Class. The blue nameplate gives it away. Of course, the two 'classes' were identical except in respect of how they were named.

Another Classic Steam Locomotive A former London and South Western Railway, later Southern Railway, preserved T9 Class 4-4-0 (with a Bulleid West Country or Battle of Britain Pacific behind). The T9 class, built between 1899 and 1901, had the nickname Greyhounds. This particular locomotive...

On my at one time frequent visits to Long Island I found the LIE to be absolutely wild. Used the Parkways (no heavy commercial vehicles) whenever I could.
