I'm not particularly fond of pigs, having grown up on a farm where we kept a few of the escape artists, but I do like bacon. Strongly prefer back bacon, as served in the UK, but nearly all we can get here in the States is cut from the pork belly, so it's mostly fat. What you refer to as streaky bacon.

Remember the Song for Europe episode of Father Ted where the host is dishevelled and is talking to Ted in some sort of incoherent Gaelic ending the speech with "Shave a Bullock" your analogy of cuddling a pig just made me think of that .
