Summerwineland for just one day

If you could be teleported into Summerwineland for a day what would you plan for your day?

I'd probably opt for the Seymour era as Foggy would annoy me too much. I'd have a full breakfast in the cafe, but be on my best behaviour so not to attract the wrath of Ivy! I'd then pop over to see Howard cleaning the windows of his house and perhaps help him escape for the day or at least deliver a note to Marina. I'd have to pop over an visit Wesley to see what he was working on. I'd love to join the ladies coffee morning but I'm sure I'd be persona non grata! I'd probably round off the day by joining the trio at The White Horse for more pints than is good for me!

Pretty much follow what you planned Barry with a few additions . I'd have to buy a souvenir of my visit from Auntie  , have a really nice walk through the countryside with Smiler and Tom admiring the beautiful countryside whilst Tom and Smiler propel the cart . Lunch would have to be from the barbecue of Cooper and Walsh though it might be slightly underdone if they get a shout. Sticking my head in the lion's mouth I would dine with Marina at the Hotel where the Secret Birthday of Norman Clegg was filmed because Truly and Clegg offered to" buy a lady lunch" but never got around to it in the episode , imagine Howard's blood pressure .

Forgot about Aunties, good call. I'd go into there with just £10 cash (and not a penny more!) and see what she'd sell me, and I'd know I couldn't be taken for more than that!

Option 1 - Follow That Bottle always seemed to epitomize the ultimate Summer Wine Day for me. Joining the guys on Enwhistle's truck (or it could have been the landrover for that matter) and taking part in something so foolish as to try to capture a bottle going down the creek. The only thing missing with a stop at a pub.

Option 2 - Rooming with Foggy, Clegg, and Compo at the Scarborough beach house. That room seemed like it would have been so much fun.

Well, I'd probably join the trio for the Bicycle Bonanza bike ride through the hills, not forgetting to stop off at the White Horse along the way for some lunch and a well earned rest. I don't fancy visiting Auntie Wainwright to hire a bicycle though. I think I'd send Foggy to get one for me.

You've literally just described the mental routine I go through every night to get to sleep, Barry. :37:

I would do all of this, but probably nip to the library briefly early on, and later go and ring Nora's bell.

I would to to any part of the show with compo and explore the hills before getting something at the café and then going to ante wainwright and tying to survive go to and one of the pubs before going sight seeing like cleggs and Howards house helping Howard getting out and checking for stoneworm travel to Nora battys steps try not to get into trouble and depending on the time in show listen to foggy real story's

What a wonderful post,I could think about this for hours,a great way to get to sleep too Stephen, how lovely.
The biggest dilemma for me though would be choosing which era to go back to,as lots of my favourite people in the show appeared at different times and would not all be there together,I’d love to meet Sid in the cafe and have a pint with Wally in the pub,but would equally love to wander down to Wesley’s shed and visit Aunties shop and have something sold to me.
I was lucky enough to spend entire days following in the exact footsteps of our lovely characters while recreating Whoops and Sadly Madly Bradley,my two favourite episodes, doing everything they did and visiting everywhere they went, but I was alone, now I can imagine those days again with all the cast I would have met along the way, what a lovely thought.

I wouldn't mind having a round of golf with Barry & Toby if there was time

Full round??? Might struggle with that, bound to be disrupted by Smoke billowing from a mobile vending machine which is about to explode or some giant crows crossing the fairway and greens as you are about to play your shot , the Captain would just lose it and storm off.
