Un Happy Valley

I have been watching series 2 of the "gritty" BBC police drama Happy Valley on iPlayer. It was mostly filmed in Hebden Bridge and the surroundings are unmistakably Summer Wine Land-ish, a couple of locations were used in Summer Wine. So it's really incongruous to see the familiar countryside half expecting to see Compo, Clegg and Foggy appearing three-up on a bicycle, but instead there are drug dealers, murders and prostitutes.

The nearest we came to the criminal fraternity was Amos Hames and even then we never really knew if he was a criminal !!!

Compo was light fingered a few times with Ivy's buns or Jack Harry's apples

And I'm pretty sure Wesley was guilty of contravening the Road Traffic act 1988 on a few occasions!
