I've tried to send my photos of Holmfirth but it said the 'uploaded file is too big'.
I've sent some photos before so, I don't know why I can't do it now. Can anyone advise me?

If you can resize the pictures then it will work, we only have a limited amount of server space to keep the cost down,so we limit the image size to help how much get used

Louise, I use Paint Shop Pro and under the section Resize I adjust my pictures to 450 x 338 pixels. Anything bigger may chop the bottom of your photo off. Hope this helps.

In PSP I load the picture I want to send then go into 'Image', scroll down to resize where you can adjust the amount of pixels. I put in 450 for the width and the height adjusts itself. Remember to click OK when you have set the size.

I cant do it either but have found if i send pictures to my Mrs via WhatsApp & she sends them back to me it then works! ****!

I found a lot of photos that are .png files are extremely large I open them in the standard Paint app and simply save as jpeg [ .jpg] files you get a warning about clarity but it really doesn't have any real impact . Once you post by attaching if you then select the thumbnail that obviously reduces the size further but for someone viewing accessing via the thumbnail loads the picture anyway so not a problem .

WOW, Captain, if you are going to use big words like large then I must take some of my tablets in order to obviate yours truly from being stricken down by a severe case of the vapours. You are right of course, the photos must be .jpg

Hope this helps, @Louise Lawrence .

I forget what the max pixel size is for the site here. If someone knows for certain please chime in.
720 x 1080 ?

I think if you keep the file size below 500Kb then it should be no problem

Thanks, I had pixel size on the brain and forget to mention actual file size. Less than 500Kb good to know.
