Have any of you used this paint?

Couldn't get the video from your link, but managed to find the sketch elsewhere.

Farrow and Ball is a real paint product.

As the sketch suggests, it is chosen by simpler minded housewives with too much money to spend.

I think they think the colour (or color) will somehow be richer, or classier, or something.

But common old Dulux paint here can be mixed into any colour.

Farrow and Ball paint is loathed by professional decorators - there have been issues with it peeling off.

All in all, I believe Farrow and Ball to be one big con - aimed for the high end market, but just a way of wasting money.

To clarify, colour is pronounced (more or less) the same way as color.

It has to be said, many people here cringe at the spelling of words that become color, center, mom, I can't go on...

Also, the way Americans pronounce moustache (mustache??) and aluminium (alumium??!!) makes my teeth itch.

Ha! Sounds like a plan!

So I have an eight ounce "sample" pot of a very dark "plum" color/colour from these people. Trying to figure out what I can test it on that I wont care if it peels off.

I have a small craft shelf we picked up at a local sale (and hasn't been wall mounted yet) so that may be a good fit.

I like the suggestion for colour matching (here it would be Sherwin Williams, Benjamin-Moore, or something like that). The paint may be suspect but it looks like they've put some thought into what hundred-ish colours would be best choices. I can't stand looking a hundreds of paint chips that are barely distinguishable from the one below or above.

The NBC link will only play if it thinks you are in the USA, using a VPN and it's no problem, but thanks to Onslow you can all enjoy the clip, we used to rate Dulux paint but unless you buy the professional label then it is not so good now, think it was better quality when owned by ICI, now owned by a dutch company
