Brenda as Miss Marple

Cloggy

My wife and i, went to see A Murder Is Announced at Blackpool Grand Theatre this week,
Brenda (Sarah Thomas ) played Miss Marple, she played the part very well.

I think correcting Cloggy is a bit harsh and frankly slightly unfair , he's trying his best ! Ventriloquism is a difficult art to Master ! I have to say Cloggy seems to defy what normally occurs with those learning the art . Everyone expects trainees to utter phrases like "Bottle of Beer" as " Gottle of Geer" quite how Cloggy managed to reverse that trend and pronounce Glenda as Brenda is rare and frankly astonishing ! :08:

How very true, eventually i'll get it right or wrong.

Must have been great to see her act in person on stage, Cloggy.

Captain you solved a riddle for me with the "Gottle of Geer", thanks. I remember Compo saying that in the cafe before they all went on a trip to the seaside. Compo was acting as a ventriloquist dummy while Clegg was tugging on a string. I had wondered about what Compo had said.

Glenda or Brenda played Miss Marple very well, it was in the same theatre that we saw Pearl (Juliette Kaplan) in a stage play,
after watching them on the TV for years, it was great watching them on stage.

All-day I have been trying to picture Glenda as a Miss Marple.
I could not picture Sarah Thomas in the role. I had to give in and go searching for a picture of Sarah dressed up to the character of Miss Marple. I found one and, well, see for yourself, does that look like Glenda? I would love to see the show but my body says 'Stay at home boy'. Well done the makeup team. The first pic is our Glenda.
