Later they think it may have been "Eric". It was a white ferret. Compo also had ones called "Nelson" and Eddy".

In "There Goes The Groom", Compo is speaking to a ferret called Stella. Not sure if there are any other instances of ferrets with names?
As a note, Bill Owen did not actually like ferrets and so you will notice that the ferrets were always in the cage. And they actually had a ferret wrangler who did all of the handling. Any scene where Compo had to hold, conceal in his coat, or otherwise interact with a ferret; that was someone else's hand touching the poor thing.
