I will post a name of cast member and I would like you to give your opinion of there best performance in an episode,so I will start with Wally Batty

For me his best performance episode is "The Mysterious Feet of Nora Batty"

You don't have to mention a different one to one that has been mentioned

I'd have said that one too, deffinalty but if we need to pick a different one then I'll go for White Mans Grave.

It's clearly not remembered as the greatest performance given the choices posted thus far but I have to say Deep in the Heart of Yorkshire is the one for me. How John Comer and Joe Gladwin and to be fair the rest of the cast managed to film this without dissolving into fits of laughter is beyond me especially the big reveal scene when they are unearthed in the woods , priceless.

Being held upside down from the movie theater balcony to get the chance to talk to Nora. Just teasing, I know that is from the First instead of the Last Summer Wine.

So many good Wally Batty moments. It can be difficult to recall some of them because sometimes I tend to focus on what the main trio are doing. I like it when Wally got out with the guys to do things. Like when he made the water skis or flying contraption for Compo. To see him relax a bit without the threat of Nora there to scowl at him. Wally was a good inventor, would have been nice to of been able to see what he and Wesley could have created together.

Frank Thornton in the three episodes on the death of Bill Owen. He carried through with grace and much tact. Not only in acting but in all acts of grace and kindness.

I think we're doing one character at a time, what is your favourite Wally episode?

OK Wally
It's the one where the trio is driving a caravan and part of it becomes detached and Wally comes along on his motorcycle.
That may be the episode …………….CHEERING UP LUDOVIC.Clegg falls out of the driving seat and Wally helps him to try and catch up with it by giving him a lift !:39:

One of the Last Few Places Unexplored by Man. Some odd things about it....
Why would Nora send Wally out on his own to buy a wardrobe? She must have known he would come back with something she didn't like.
Why did they carry Compo all the way home in the wardrobe when they could have carried the wardrobe empty then put Compo in at the last moment? A very funny episode and a great performance by Wally. :)

It’s not necessarily a performance but I love the line in the guest house caper - or similar title. Where they all go to Scarborough and wally is asked what he wants to do and Wally wants to see the lifeboat. The scene makes me howl with laughter
