UK TV Scheds? WPC 56??

Being here in the good old USA, I am unused to the UK
TV scheduling policies.

But ...

Been downloading and watching this UK TV drama called
WPC 56 about a Woman Police Constable in 1956. Tis a
really wonderful TV drama. Nicely done and all.

Far as I can tell, it's on there at about 2:30 in the afternoon for
five days. Here in the US, that might get you an audience of
maybe 5 people on a Tuesday.

Like ... what am I missing here???

Do they NOT want y'all to watch this?????
 
I read about that, but forgot to watch it. My husband is in charge of the remote in the afternoons and we get a lot of documentaries and old Time team episodes!

What the BBC put good drama on in the evening,goodness what would they do with the cookery shows ::)

Dont let on Sue ;) I am watching more Time Team now than I ever did! My wife couldn't stand Tony Robinson or Carenza :o I can watch any time I want now but still imagine I can hear " You can switch him off!!" ;D ;D

Perhaps I confused y'all???

What I really was after was why they would air something
with so much sexual innuendo at 2:30 on a weekday
afternoon??? I mean, 9 pm maybe. But not mid day.

Don't get me wrong. We are really enjoying WPC 56.

Just don't expect it during the children's hour.
 
Sorry, I have not watched it so I missed your point. I suppose all of the children should be at school so they thought it would not matter!

Never watch it but as far as BBC is concerned all children's watching is on Children's Channel or CBBC. Another lunch time programme with "adult" themes is "Doctors".

I saved them up and watched them en bloc, I did enjoy the show and I would rather watch it at 9pm instead of the endless repeats of New tricks

Yes, you as well??? Altho I really liked New Tricks, I can
watch my own repeats when I want, thank you.

Over here we get the endless repeats of That Bucket Woman, a
show I liked the first 30 or 50 times thru, but has worn a bit
frazzled in the retelling.

Also not really enthused about the possibilities of a new
New Tricks missing most of the original cast. Really liked
Bolam, Alun Armstrong, and Amanda Redman. But as the
writing leapt off a high cliff, I can easily see why they left.
