The kidney can effectively come from cattle , pigs or sheep, lamb's kidney is considered the finest of all three and is noticeably more expensive though calves liver is perhaps the most expensive . All are prepared by the butcher ready... -
We got onto the subject because I was asking about how my aunt apparently knew Kathy Staff from church. Kathy also had a relative who lived next door to one house where my parents lived. -

Been visiting my parents today and my Mum said that when she was a kid Kathy Staff's mother was friends with her grandma (my great grandma) and visit her house.

You can cook them in a normal oven, just stand the pudding in its pot in a shallow dish of water and cover with tin foil. Mmm baby’s head with chips n gravy!!
