I assumed Leroy is Granville's son, there is an episode where Paula Wilcox [her of Man About the House ] turns up playing Leroy's mum and it is implied that Granville is his dad but apologies in advance if I got that wrong.

Blasphemy, captain!! May Arkwright wake thee in the wee hours with the sounds of slamming till drawers and rattling money belts! :eek2:
Just teasing ya, friend. ;)
I think Mrs. Featherstone remarked about her amorous...
With mushy peas, then spotted dick for afters! Or maybe that was a separate occasion? Poirot requested a cheese board and Japp presented him with a rather ripe looking wedge of cheddar!

Hi Denton,
It did take a little time for me to warm to the new series. I think you will find mixed responses to your question. Some on here like it and others not so much. I am part of those that like it. I know it at times is not...
I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer Still Open ... . Leroy's character is much more age-appropriate for a young man than Granville's was at the same age. The whole thing is believable. The first series was just silly.
My biggest issue with it is Mrs Featherstone romantically chasing Granville when in OAH nothing could be father from that scenario . It didn't warrant a remake becomes very predictable as the series progress and lacks the quality OAH...

I liked him in that, I thought he was the perfect Inspector Japp, I love the episode where he stayed with Poirot and as a thank you he made Poirot faggots and mash.
