In the men I suppose it would be hard to look past Pete Sampras or Rodger Federer. As for the women Steffi Graff would be my all time favourite

In the seventies it was Borg. Eighties was I suppose Becker or Edberg and then the Sampras era and of course Roger.

I remember when Nastasi!! not sure of spelling, used to have his funny fits, I loved it.
I remember he demanded the rule book be bought out on court, he sat in the middle of the court reading the rules, to prove a point.
So funny and non malicious.
Not like that heathen McEnroe, that needed a good slap. He was like a spoilt child, my Mothering instinct showing here, me thinks
