Just looking thru a bunch of old AVI files saved to external
hard drive and found several episodes of a 1970's program
called The Sweeney, starring John Thaw (Morse??).

Any comments??
 
Pretty good gritty police drama, but quite violent at times although mostly fist fights. Don't remember guns being used that often. Also has Dennis Waterman before Minder fame in it. Morse is mild by comparison. Police slang - Sweeny Todd - Flying Squad. Certainly one of the most popular programmes of its type in the 70's.
