I saw the Damned 3 times in my early years. Twice in Manchester August 1981, and once in Leeds at The Christmas On Earth punk festival.

We walked from Stockport to Manchester with Stockport CND then onto Alexandra Park for the Carnival Against The Missiles gig. Evening gig later on that day in Manchester.
Happy Days.. I still have a cassette bootleg of the AP set… bit of violent gig considering it was a peace festival.
We had a great day and met John Cooper Clarke before the gig.
