Somethings make no Sense to me

Large retail shops and supermarkets that sell cigarettes have to have doors that close over the cigarette displays,and should be kept closed to stop anyone seeing what is on offer,yet several times on soaps like Corrie the cigarettes are easily visible even to the point of the brand Name and price,in fact the camera even seems to focus on certain brands and pause for a while,almost like a product placement advert,these shows are on at a time when young people are about and the products are on full view

Makes one wonder whether those "brands" are sponsoring these programmes?

Nothing is supposed to be sponsored by tobacco company's any more but who knows what goes on behind the scenes in the back room. :-X

Just out of interest,, you could complain or point it out to the TV people is it Ofcom!!! and see what they say.

As you say it is now illegal to show cigarette packets, in shops, so it should be the same on tv. Horrible things cigarettes

Small stores under a certain sq. footage are allowed to display cigarettes hence thew corner shop in corrie
