Over here in the States, TV stars often earn really enormous salaries. I've always wondered if, in general terms, anyone had any idea of what sort pay range the LOTSW cast earned?
 
Compared with stars of modern television I think you'd call it a pittance. Nowhere near what they were worth.
 
Although quite a bit of variation - at one time Brian Wilde was getting twice that of Bill Owen or Peter Sallis (source Andrew Vine book).
