I am thinking about starting a petition, and I wonder what you thoughts are.

1. If you are retired it is now a 24/7 position with no extra payment for overtime.
2. No Paid Holidays.
3. No Bank Holiday payments for being retired on a bank holiday.
4. Your partner has to put up with you 24hrs a day and should get compensation for this.
5. You can get cheaper rail travel for travelling off peak, but no discounts in Supermarkets for shopping off peak.
6. Remember being under 21 your car insurance was high because of lack of sensibility and experience, when you get to 70 plus they forget all that and claim your getting to old to drive and hike the price up as if you are 17 again.

Pretty sure the retired members on the forum can think of many more
 
My husband is retiring in a few months for the 2nd time, he built a new kitchen and bathroom and after that I sent him back to work but I don't think that will wash this time so I'm going to be stuck with him. If you see headlines like.

70 year old missing while wife takes holiday to South Pole.

It might not be me but chances are it is.

He needs to hook-up with two other retired men, the three can start acting like teenagers and do stuff like roll down a hill in barrels. One likes to speak words of wisdom, another likes to do stuff like measure the feet of a widow woman, and a third man likes to tell stories of his time in the jungle.

I have seen a video with two of those men with those qualities sitting in a cafe talking.
One man speaks words of wisdom. I have seen many of his You Tube videos.
One man talks about his time in the jungle of television as a leading man in a popular comedy series.
All they need now is a lovable idiot that likes to tackle feisty females. ;)
