If you visit this website http://www.justfreevpn.com/how-to-setup-free-vpn/ and follow the simple instruction it will enable you to appear as if you are in the UK, so you can visit iplayer and other sites that normally block you,

In the past you had to pay for a VPN service, this one is free and it appears to work, though it may be slow at peaks times, once you have had your fill of UK drivel TV you simply disconnect leaving the settings in your network settings to reconnect when you so wish

Thanks Terry! I'll give it a try.

Never having used the iPlayer, let me ask: Can I
save what I watch or just stream it? If I can
save it, what format is the downloaded file:
MP4, AVI?

I believe some shows you can download either in SD or HD format, the rest just stream,as for the format I have never used it but I am sure other members here will be able to help, Terry

Me, neither. If you download iPlayer for desktop you can download shows and watch em on there

I guess that's why I download UK TV shows from TheBox and
ThePirateBay. I get them as AVI or MP4 files, save them to
a flash drive, and play them on my DVD player to a TV.

Do not want to be chained to a PC to watch LOTSW.
Seems wrong somehow.

But I will give the VPN bit a try.

Thanks again.
