There is quite a big football match tonight between Manchester United and Real Madrid in the Champions Cup which is nicely poised at one goal apiece. Are there any football fans on the forum and which team do you follow I know that Chuffer used to follow Liverpool. Maybe football is one of your biggest hates it will be fun to hear your comments

My family all support The Toon, but for convenience the eldest grandson watches Aldershot

I also watched and was not too pleased that MU lost. But it is a game and should not be taken too seriously.

Sorry to all you Northern folk ,I`m a lifelong fan of West Ham United.I was a big fan of Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst and became a Hammer`s fan as a result.

I have two nephews born and raised in Alton, one still there, the other moved to Woking who have supported Aldershot through thick and thin, out of the league and all the way back up again. First league match I ever saw back in the forties was Crystal Palace v Aldershot in the old Third Division South. At school in the fifties for a period went often to Portsmouth in the First Division. At university in the early sixties was quite a regular at Old Trafford in the days of Law, Charlton, Crerand, the early days of Best. Saw some great matches, particularly against the great Tottenham side of that era. Now you can stick football - it has become a grossly over commercialised sport for sick, spoilt brats. I will remain committed to rugby and hope that professionalism does not drag rugby down the ruined path that football has taken. And what is "The Toon"?

I've always supported Liverpool. Mainly as I love the city. Also because the Beatles were from there. But i've got to say, George, your team is pretty special, isn't it?
