crossworders

I like to work our local crossword puzzle most everday. Ocassionally a word
or phrase will crop up
more than once. One of these is "Sturm und Drang".
It was originally translated as storm and drive but is now translated as
storm and stress. It seems it was a movement in the 1760's to encourage
people to speak their minds. Are there any other crossworders who come
across interesting words or phrases?

I do enjoy working a puzzle. This particular phrase kept showing up
regularly for a little while so I decided to investigate.
