Years ago I used to love going into Hi-Fi shops or Shows, today I browsed through a magazine, then looked on a website that just sells leads and connectors for top end audio equipment,so before I buy anything I need the right fuse for the plugsynergistic-research-quantum-fuses-sr20.jpg

This cost £39.95 p

Then I need the special wall socket

furutech-fp-1363d-uk-wall-socket.jpg good value at £165

Finally I need to get a 1 meter special mains lead isotek-syncro-mains-power-lead.jpg which is a bargain at £995

So all in all after spending all this money my Amstrad system better sound good Amstrad T-80.jpg

Prolly not all that much better than my really old Pioneer amp,
audio-technica table, and AR-3ax speakers.

But how well it sounds has more to do with what you
are playing on it. I prefer Miles, Trane, and Diz myself.

Yeah, we especially love the old ARs. Been re-coned over the
years, but the 12 inch woofers sound great. Also have domed
tweeters and small mid-range cones. Have 4 of them, bought used
back in the 70's (or maybe 60s??).

My setup is getting a bit dated now but still packs a punch.

Wish mine looked so neat! Right now there's wires all over the
place as I record old Tom Lehrer records from the table thru
the amp to the sound card on the PC so I can burn the bits onto
a CD for my distant son. Be glad when this is done so I can get
back to normal.
